History of the Twin Cities Litho Club
|
The Twin Cities Litho Club was started in 1942 by the cooperative efforts of the following men: Erwin Lissack, Nils H. Erickson, Abner Larson, Joe Krenn, Al Malchow, Chester Scheidler, Charles Buetner, Harold Lane, Fred Lueke, Fred Wodke, William Harnish, and Paul Kiklas. The purpose of the Club is to build personality, develop leadership and to provide the opportunity for its membership to increase their knowledge and improve their skills in the practice of the lithographic trade. To promote meetings at which the membership is given the opportunity of learning about the latest developments and research in the industry and to provide the opportunity for an honest interchange of information relative to the offset industry. To promote a spirit of cooperation and good fellowship among its members the Litho Clubs constitute a forum for the discussion of any and all topics in which members of the lithographic trade and industry are interested. The meetings are held on the second Thursday of the month. Every member is at liberty to express his opinions and contribute his or her knowledge in any discussion that is pertinent to the advancement of the lithographic art. In 1946 the National Association of Litho Clubs was organized and the T.C.L.C. voted to join them. The local club was incorporated in 1965.
