Blair Dreyfus is presented with the Haywood H. Hunt Award by Sue Kent

HHH Award

The best part of being Chairman of the Board is presenting the Haywood H Hunt Award. This is the highest award given to someone who has helped our industry through the years, a member or not. Haywood H. Hunt was one of the founding fathers of our club and never tired of doing anything he could for its advancement. This year’s recipient is no exception.

Keeping the identity of the award is always a challenge. This year, the ruse was that the recipient was on vacation. (“Retired” is vacation, right?) Blair had no clue.

Blair Dreyfus decided to come to the Bay Area instead of Texas after reaching LA coming west from Conneticut. He worked for Advanced Litho, Mastercraft Press and retired from Schwab Litho. He has been a member of our Club since 1994 and has not stopped being one of its biggest supporters and never walks away from a new challenge, whether it be running for office, heading up fund-raisers, coming up with new ideas for advancement or always being there to lend a helping hand.

Blair has just become the Executive Vice President and the National Secretary for the NALC (National Association of Litho Clubs.) It is in this position that he has developed the Impression Awards for local clubs and the National.

I have known Blair since 1984 when I worked with him at Mastercraft. He is one of my best friends, professionally and personally. I could not think of anyone more deserving to receive this award. I am sure that anyone who knows Blair would agree – just ask.
— Sue Kent, Chairman of the Board
