The objectives of the Program Committee are to provide to the membership a single source for quality programs, to enhance education through the use of the tapes we have available and to give each club a sounding board for the enrichment of their local club. Programs are the backbone of our organization, they are what gives each member a professional reason for attending our meetings and participating. Through the use of educational meetings as well as social events we are able to create a way of conveying complicated information to each other in a language that is unique to our industry. With the advent of technology it is becoming more and more important to improve ourselves through education. The NALC Program Committee has the ability and the tools to help each club to achieve just that.

We have been working with the Wisconsin Solid & Hazardous Waste Education Center to develop 2 new video tapes that will enhance training and shop development in the arena of Waste management. The 2 tapes will be a systems approach to the handling of waste in a profitable manor. The systems name is Green And Profitable Printing. The first module will be Green and profitable thru Process Control, this section will be 22:45 minutes. The second module will be Green and Profitable from the Start- 24:10 minutes. Both module 1 & 2 are on the first tape. The third module will be Green and Profitable - At Press - 40:00 minutes. The fourth module will be Green and Profitable Gets the Job Done- 32:00 minutes. Both the 3rd and 4th modules are on tape two. These tapes will have a training manual that will accompany them. Each tape when viewed will have break segments strategically placed so that audience participation will be a part of the training session. The purpose of the tapes is to show how waste management can be accomplished and by so performing the waste reduction increase profitability. I am very excited by the project and envision the use of these tapes as a way to enhance any organizations ability to cope with the problems associated with waste management. These tapes are now available through your program committee. They can be checked out through me at any time, please feel free to give me a call.
