Introduction

Public Relations is an organized, ongoing effort to develop and maintain goodwill and support among your current and potential membership and the various segments of the community in which your club operates.

The role of public relations, as it relates to your club is to convey a positive image to those persons within and outside your organization. News communicated about your club, its services, activities, and members can effectively capture the attention of potential new members of the graphic arts industry and your club. It also can reinforce positive opinions about your organization.

That is the purpose of this manual: to assist you in developing a communications program that will result in positive exposure and a positive image for your local litho club.
