JOHNSON TO RETIRE FROM BUSINESS/CLUB ACTIVITY
DETROIT -- Date, 19XX -- Mark Johnson, a veteran printing press operator with XYZ Graphics and a Hinsdale resident, will retire after 35 years with that company. He also plans to retire from membership in the Detroit Litho Club, where he has served as a club officer and member since 1960.
Johnson, 65, joined XYZ Graphics after 10 years with QPD Printers. His contributions to the industry include serving on the Committee of Occupational Safety in the Graphic Arts Industry, a study conducted by the state of Michigan. As a Litho Club member, he has promoted occupational safety locally through demonstrations and presentations to area businesses.
The Detroit Litho Club will be honoring Johnson at a ceremony on Friday, July 1, at 7 p.m. at the Regency South Oval Room. Friends and well-wishers are welcome to attend.
