Jones FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CLEVELAND LITHO CLUB TO PARTICIPATE IN LITERACY CAMPAIGN Cleveland, Ohio -- Date, 19XX -- The Cleveland Litho Club has announced its involvement in the Cleveland Public School's "The Power of Print" literacy program. The program was announced earlier this spring by Cleveland school superintendent, James Young, as a necessary measure in curbing the growing number of illiterate high school graduates and drop-outs. The Cleveland Litho Club, whose objective is to advance the professional knowledge of its membership, will support the campaign through the printing of posters and the development of a video tape addressing the important role reading plays in daily life. The tape will be made available to schools and social service organizations. Litho Club members also have expressed a willingness to make personal presentations to classrooms. Club president, Howard Johnson, said the club hopes other clubs and associations will join in the fight against illiteracy.
