These scholarships were established in 1969 by NALC. One scholarship up to $500 is usually awarded each year although in recent years there have been two scholarships awarded annually up to $500 each. The scholarship was established in the memory of the late 15th President of NALC, Rae Goss of Chicago, who contributed much of his time and energy toward the early development of the National Association of Litho Clubs. The scholarships are awarded to a litho club member in good standing with NALC who wishes to Pursue additional advancement in the field of graphic arts management.

Candidates who apply for this scholarship must complete an application form provided by NALC and answer all questions that eventually determine the management training and the reasons for pursuing them by individual candidates.

Application forms are provided to each local Litho club president for distribution to local applicants. Applications are available at any time during the year, and local clubs are advised periodically by the Scholarship Committee of due dates of the applications.
